Angels On Call

Angels On Call is an A Cappella group which strives to create community relationships through performing for charitable contributions. At the beginning of the school year, members are encouraged to pitch names of charities on which the group will vote on. We perform at private and public events for donations by request and also perform on a regular basis at nearby hospitals and nursing homes. We also go caroling in downtown Detroit during the holiday season to brighten the days of those who listen. CD's will also be sold to proceed the annual charity(ies).

We perform at private and public events for donations by request and also perform on a regular basis at nearby hospitals and nursing homes. We also go caroling in downtown Detroit during the holiday season to brighten the days of those who listen. CD's will also be sold to proceed the annual charity(ies).

Article I. Name: This organization's title is Angels On Call. The acronym AOC or AoC can also be used to refer to it.

Article II. Purpose: Angels On Call is an A Cappella group which strives to create community relationships through performing for charitable contributions. At the beginning of the school year, members are encouraged to pitch names of charities on which the group will vote on. We then raise money for the charities voted for by performing at private and public events for donations by request and also selling CD's. In addition, Angels On Call strive to bring goodwill and cheer to those in need by performing on a regular basis at nearby hospitals and nursing homes. We also go caroling in downtown Detroit during the holiday season to brighten the days of those who listen.

Article III. Membership: Section 1: All are eligible to audition for Angels on Call; however, members are admitted through auditions which are held at the beginning of the fall and winter semester, and also by request throughout the year. There are no restrictions to the number of auditions per person.

Members are identified by role or vocal part (Contrasoprano, Soprano I, Soprano II, Alto I, Alto II, Tenor I, Tenor II, Baritone I, Baritone II, Beatboxer, etc.) All members will be listed on the webpage https://angelsoncall.webs.com in addition to being credited in all events.

Section 3: Voluntary withdrawal of membership, if desired, is encouraged to happen at the end of the fall or winter semesters, or when a new member of the same role or vocal part is admitted to keep all sections even in number.

Article V. Operations: Section 1: All members are eligible to apply for office. However, seniority in Angels on Call will be preferred.

Section 2: The Officers are chosen each new school year. All members have equal vote to advise the current president. However, the officers of that year have the final say.

Section 3: Officers assume their positions a month before a new school year begins.

Section 4: Angels On Call do not have an advisor.

Article VI. Finances: Section 1: Angels On Call will perform at private and public events for donations by request in addition to selling CD's.

Section 2: The Treasurer along with the Secretary are responsible for the organization's Finances.

Article VII. Amendments: Section 1: Amendments are to be proposed via paper, on which the current members will vote on with equal vote.

Section 2: Any member of Angels On Call can propose Amendments,

Section 3: As soon as an Amendment is proposed, a vote will be held one day to a week after bringing it forth. All members will have equal vote. Ties will be broken by the Officers' vote. If a tie is still present, the President(s) will break it with his/her vote(s).

Article VIII. Registration Renewal: Section 1: All members are required to re-audition each new school year, with the exception of elected Officers. However, strong preference will be given to those who participated in Angels on Call previously.

Article IX. Removal of Membership: Section 1: Officers will be removed by the President(s) if they fail to comply to rules and regulations, and do not perform their duty to the fullest. The President(s) will be advised by the vote of the rest of the Officers and members.

Section 2: The members and officers not in question will vote to advise to President(s) with the members having 1 vote and the Officers having an additional vote. However, the President(s) will make the final decision. In the case that the President is in question, all members will have an equal vote to vote out the President(s).

Section 3: Members will be removed by the President(s) if they fail to comply to rules and regulations, and do not perform their duty to the fullest. The President(s) will be advised by the vote of the rest of the Officers and members.

Article X. By-Laws: Angels On Call's Constitution does not include a "Provision for By-Laws" Article of clause.
